International Gig Poster Exhibition

We’re incredibly excited to be welcoming back the incredible Onomatoposter exhibition for 2024. One again we are working with Toucan Tango to host an incredible exhibition of flatstock poster art to the walls of our Gallery space, the perfect way to kick off 2023. Printmakers and designers Toucan Tango are firmly embedded in this world, a global movement of artists whose love for music spills over into a rich world of gig poster design.

We’ll be exhibiting some fine examples of this work across January, February and March with an exhibition in our Future Walls gallery space, where you can come and feast your eyes on some of the finest screen print show artwork from across the world. All prints will be available to purchase, and many are rare or limited edition prints. There will also be a special piece of print deigned for this show.

On Friday 19th January, East London desert rock trio The Howlers are playing a headline show to mark the launch of the Onomatoposter exhibition. They will be supported by Liverpool alt.rock act alright (okay). Tickets for this show are available now.

The opening weekend of the ONOMATOPOSTER exhibition will feature two days of activity to launch the show, with a print fair, live screen printing, live music, conversations and a pizza party from our new in-house kitchen.

On Friday 19th January we’re holding a launch party with a preview of the exhibition from 6pm. There will a live show in the Live Room (TBA), with live screen printing workshops that you can get hands-on with. Toucan Tango will be joining us for an In Conversation chat, talking about the international world of artists that they’ve been immersed in for the past 5 or 6 years.

On Saturday 20th January a full daytime marketplace takes over the Live Room and Gallery spaces, with hundreds of pieces of incredible artwork from dozens of internationally-renowned sellers on show. The daytime print fair and market is free entry and runs 12pm to 5pm, with conversations between Toucan Tango and partner printmakers Vera based in Groningen. You can come and feast your eyes on a whole lot more gig posters and prints, and feast your stomachs on great pizza from our kitchen and feast your ears on great tunes by some DJs.
