MACCA TAYLOR | Future Yard | Future Yard

We are thrilled to be hosting Future Yard favourite Macca Taylor‘s first-ever hometown headline show here on 8th October. Already familiar with the Future Yard stage, Macca is a 24 year old singer/songwriter from Birkenhead, Wirral, taking inspiration from the likes of Bon Iver, James Vincent McMorrow and Novo Amor with his tunes. Since beginning his musical journey rom his Birkenhead loft in early 2017, Macca has experimented with electronic and acoustic-based sounds before settling on a melodic yet melancholy blend of the two. Support on the night comes Fred Greaves and Euan Blackman.

Tickets on sale now.

After a few years of self-confessed inconsistency, Macca Taylor turned with three singles released in 2020, receiving support from BBC Introducing via Dave Monks on Radio Merseyside, as well as Tom Robinson on Radio 6 Music, who crowned Waters Unknown as Macca’s ‘strongest release to-date’. His latest single How It Goes has received airplay on BBC Radio Merseyside and Amazing Radio in the UK.

Euan Blackman crafts introspective and evergreen songs for rainy road trips with wistful gazes. There is something of the past in his music, not retrospect, but memories we all share, tales of the human condition in soft focus. He is regularly enchanted by the magic that defines the work of Phoebe Bridgers and Claude Debussy. These influences that span ages and continents, come together behind his pastel blue bedroom door. Euan Blackman’s music is just starting out, but it feels like you’ve known him for some time.
