A singular character in Australian music, with a sardonic and sentimental sound, Jack Ladder (aka Tim Rodgers) brings his towering and tender baritone to bear on tales of beauty, love, hope and redemption. A master of musical narrative, he conjures lyrics that celebrate the absurdity of the human condition in songs that groove in subtle ways. Support on the night comes from Ryder the Eagle and The DSM IV.
Ladder join us this summer with a plethora of live experience under his belt, beginning making music under the alias in the mid-noughties, and since then has gone onto tour with and work alongside some of the brightest names in the business – Bill Callahan, Angel Olsen, John Cale, Sharon Van Etten, Father John Misty, Weyes Blood, Alex Cameron and The Killers.
