New Noise Club <18 | Gen And The Degenerates

Anthemic punk rockers Gen And The Degenerates headline our latest New Noise Club <18 event, fresh from supporting the legendary Skunk Anansie on a huge UK tour and with new songs ready for the Autumn. The Degenerates are joined by The Painted Ceilings , who wowed us at a St Anselm’s battle of the bands event here at Future Yard, so we had to invite them back; and The Carnage, one of the brilliant groups formed at our New Noise Music Centre.

This show is the latest in our series of Saturday afternoon dry bar shows for under-18s. These regular shows will feature special guest headliners alongside new merging local musicians in a perfect environment to get that first taste of live music. Tickets are open to under-18s and sixth form/college students.

Tickets on sale now, priced at £5.

New Noise Club <18

Alternative punk rockers, party starters and agents of chaos, Gen And The Degenerates’ debut EP Only Alive When In Motion was released in March, and they followed this up when out on tour with British rock scene legends Skunk Anansie in April.

This band is a riot of anthemic rock and aggression that brings a swagger, charm and presence to the stage making them one of the most memorable emerging live bands on the vibrant British rock scene. They and the growing numbers of their audience are gearing up to prove that the Degenerates are already on the path to huge things.

We are thrilled to be launching NEW NOISE CLUB <18, a new monthly live music club for under-18s! Held on Saturday afternoons, New Noise Club <18 will host some of the most exciting new artists from the North West, while also showcasing young, emerging local talent.

We believe that live music should be accessible and available to all and New Noise Club <18 is here to provide a safe space for teenagers to experience live music. All shows are dry bar events, with no alcohol on sale. Tickets are only available to under 18s – or 6th Form / College students who have turned 18 this year – with no adult tickets available. Parents/responsible adults may attend to accompany their children, but we ask that the live room is made as welcoming and comfortable a space as possible for young people to enjoy the show.

This New Noise Club <18 show will be opened by The Carnage, fresh from forming at Future Yard’s NEW NOISE MUSIC CENTRE! Held every Saturday morning, New Noise Music Centre is an opportunity for teenagers to experiment across a range of instruments and music-making techniques. Guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, DJ and rap sessions are led by our team of hugely experienced and passionate tutors. Participants also get a chance behind the mixing desk and get to grips with live sound and lighting. New Noise Music Centre opens up again in January 2022, but you can sign up for all the latest news about New Noise here.
