Future Yard is looking for an individual who is passionate about live music to join their team to assist in the production of its live events. Future Yard’s in-house team are responsible for the curation, booking, marketing and delivery of an exciting programme of gigs in 2022 and beyond. The Trainee Live Event Technician role will support the technical team, who deliver live sound and lighting, across this activity and undertake shadow and supervised shifts with Future Yards sound and lighting engineers. They will also be involved in the process leading up to the events, communicating with performing artists/bands and their teams.

Future Yard has a number of rehearsal studios used regularly by local bands/artists. The trainee live event technician will help ensure these are ready for use ahead of rehearsal sessions and that the bands/artists using them know how to do so properly.

As part of this role, they will help ensure that the equipment used at Future Yard is maintained to a high standard and fully functional for its purposes.

The successful individual will also support the Future Yard team with the delivery of its Sound Check training programme, which is an introductory pathway into the live music industry. This means that the trainee live event technician will be required to undertake a DBS check.
