WHAT’S ON AT FUTURE YARD

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, our schedule is jam-packed with some extra-special festive treats to get you in the mood for the big day…

13.12 – Bido Lito! x Liquidation Christmas Quiz 

In aid of the Whitechapel Centre and Mind, the famous Bido Lito! Christmas quiz returns, with all proceeds on the night split between the two charities. The annual event has been a staple of Christmas festivities in the Liverpool music and cultural calendars, and we’re delighted to be hosting it for the first time here at Future Yard. The quiz will be hosted by regular quiz interrogators Torp and Jules, and the winners will walk away with the famed trophy as well as bragging rights and some great prizes. We can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for the live music intros round too! There will also be the signature festive spectacle of Jules’ Punk Rock Bingo with even more boss prizes on the line to be won. The majority of tickets for this quiz have sold out already, however we can still accommodate a few small groups (up to 4) so get your tickets bought quick!

17.12 – Shipwrecked Christmas Special

After the success of their summer showcase here at Future Yard, The Shipbuilders are back with a festive celebration that also doubles as the band’s album preview party, with the LP Spring Tide played in its entirety on-stage for the first time. Gintis, Anna Jane Hougton, Matthew Smith + more also make up the bill.

18.12 – Divinity Crimbo Special

When you think of Christmas, a lot of things probably spring to mind – food, family, the joy of giving, raving in Birkenhead. If that last one isn’t part of your Christmas tradition, it’s about to be. Divinity Club returns on 18th December to round off their year with a huge Crimbo special bill full of jungle, footwork, DnB and hardcore – with a big billing including Italian psych legends Mai Mai Mai + Hooversound Records footwork and jungle pioneer Samurai Breaks.

20.12 – Alternative Christmas Celebration 

Sick of hearing the same old Christmas songs every year? Fed up of Mariah, Wham and Wizzard? Is a Dukla Prague away kit at the top of your Christmas list? Then we have the perfect night for you. We’re kicking off Christmas week with an alternative party for all the cool kids out there, an evening celebrating the nichest of niche Christmas records, a safe haven of solid tunes hidden away from a world of Bublé and Band Aid.  It’s clichéd to be cynical at Christmas. Bar open from 5pm.

24.12 – Christmas Eve drinks

DJ Benny Maths takes over the bar throughout the day.

31.12 – New Year’s Eve Hogmanay 

From 6pm til late we’ve got a end of year party you don’t want to miss. Glaswegian techno punks VLURE + the infectious, rambunctious Courting co-headline the show along with some great local artists, Dan Disgrace, Portamento, The Causeways and Tides all bringing their own edge to the end of year party.
