FUTURE YARD BECOMES AN ARTS COUNCIL NATIONAL PORTFOLIO ORGANISATION

We are really pleased to share the news that Future Yard CIC has successfully secured investment through Arts Council England’s 2023-26 Investment Programme.

Future Yard is founded on a singular and steadfast belief; that music can change the world. By reimagining a community music venue as a transformational opportunity, we create life-changing experiences for local young people, incubate emerging new talent, bring the very best national and international artists to Birkenhead, while working to ensure music can play a transformational role in the lives of local people.

By doing this, we can change what Birkenhead means in the world. We can build hope, aspiration and pride in our town, a place that for too long has been overlooked, misunderstood and ignored.

This investment provides us with stability to support us in achieving our mission. Over the next three years we will now be able to reach even more young people, work with even more artists and create more opportunities for our neighbours to engage with high quality events and training programmes that will enrich their lives.

We share Arts Council England’s ambition “for England to be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish. A country where every one of us has access to a remarkable range of high-quality cultural experiences.”

We now look forward to working with Arts Council over the next three years to realise our ambition.
